Landscape Renovation Design Of Residence In South Fenggang Road, Anren County, Hunan Province

The topic,landscape renovation design of residence in South Fenggang Road,Anren County,aims to combine the traditional residential architecture and Shennong,herbal culture in Anren County.Instructed by the cultural theme of “Shennong Gujun and Houde Anren”,it expresses the national characteristics of Anren and displays the customs in Hunan.Thereby,the historic culture and modern civilization are combined while cultural and leisure functions are improved.It creates Fengang Road into a cultural street with regional culture features and connotations.Therefore,it not only improves the city's image,but also contributes to building it into a tourism city and has a demonstration effect.The paper starts with the principles and methods of transformative design of architectural styles,concluding that landscape transformation design has to obey the principle of unification of urban and rural planning and advocating natural beauty.In the design practice,it is required to re-explore the relationship among “architecture,environment and man” with the methods of semiotics and phenomenology.Semiotics is exploited to discover the symbolic language of architecture since buildings exchange information with man via their symbols.Phenomenology is used to focus on the object itself to capture rich perceptual experience.Thus,it unifies the “architecture,man and environment”.Chapter two analyzes the selection process of visual elements of traditional architectures in Anren.Deep analysis is given on the composition of visual elements and their own characteristics.Thereby,the paper concludes the Anren architectural style as “Gray bricks and tiles,high eaves,wrapped canopies and beautiful window”.Chapter three introduces the Fenggang Road Residential Landscape Renovation Project,including project overview,transformation principles and content.A project summary is made.This research explores the roots of traditional architecture in Anren County,which enriches the research on traditional residential architecture in Southern Hunan.In general,it plays a role in promoting the inheritance and development of local residential architectural culture while unifying and spreading the regionalarchitectural style of Anren County.
