As the energy supply system, electric vehicle(EV) charging stations is an important and necessary supporting infrastructure for the large-scale development of EVs.To promote the development of EVs, electric vehicle charging stations should be planned in advance. Therefore optimal locating and sizing of electric vehicle charging station is a key technology for the application of EVs.This paper focuses on the design and power grid connection of electric vehicle charging stations in a district of Baoding. Firstly, the characteristics and principles of power grid connection technology for electric vehicle charging stations are analyzed.Subsequently, the power grid connection optimization model of electric vehicle charging stations is established. Analytic hierarchy process is used to select the candidate locations for EV charging stations. The locating optimization model is aiming for minimizing the investment and maintenance costs of the EV Charging stations, investment and mintenance costs for the expansion of distribution system line, and the network loss conversion cost, with the constraint of power flow, bus voltage limits, line capacity constraints, and capacity constraints of the charging station access point. Besides, the optimal sizing of EV charging station is based on the queuing theory analysis capacity allocation. Minimizing charging stations service cost and customer waiting cost are the objectives in the process of optimizing the configuration of charging units in EV charging stations. In addition, is adapted to traditional binary particle swarm optimization algorithm is improved by adding an adjuvant search space and is used to solve the optimization problem. Simulation results verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method. Finally, main body design of EV charging stations in a district of Baoding is carried out.
