Photovoltaic power generation is one of the most rapidly developing renewable energy in recent years,and it's clean, inexhaustible, safe and efficient. In 2014, China's new installed photovoltaic capacity reached 10.6 million kilowatts, but there is no in-depth study on facilities planning during construction process of photovoltaic power station. What's more, irrational phenomenon appears in the later stage, which directly affect the economic efficiency of the photovoltaic power station. Therefore, how to use the least cost and the most reasonable layout to build a high quality and efficient photovoltaic power station has become a problem that needs to be solved at present.In this paper, the related theory of facility planning were summarized, introduces the definition, objectives, principles and procedures of facility planning. On the premise of the facility planning principle of the photovoltaic power station optimization design method is put forward based on the traditional facility planning. This paper makes a research of the facility planning of Quzhou 50 MW photovoltaic power station based on the relevant theory of facility planning. On the analyzation of the current situation of traditional facility planning of photovoltaic power station, the paper points out three questions existing in the present situation: the defect of traditional solar cell types selection method; the traditional solar array installation method without considering the influence of the maintenance rate and the array operating life needs to be optimized; the traditional computing method of the optimum solar array tilt angle ignores the shadow mask. Then the paper puts forward the corresponding solution countermeasures based on the cause of the problems analysis: optimize the types of solar cell selection method using the test efficiency of power plant instead of commercial efficiency; bring forward the optimum method for selection of the way to install the solar cell array in consideration of the maintenance rate; provide a new computing method of the optimum solar array tilt angle considering the effects of the shadow mask.Finally, the paper analyzes the solar resource conditions, climate conditions and project construction background of Quzhou photovoltaic power plant construction, and summarizes the characteristics of Quzhou photovoltaic power station. The optimization design of the facilities planning are given based on it. The optimization design method and the realization process of the optimization design of the facilities planning given in this paper can provide important guidance for the construction of similar photovoltaic power plant in the future.
