Transit run time reliability is the important indicators to measure transit run status and quality of service, compared with the traditional transit, BRT has the advantage of rapid, on time and safety, due to passenger flow change of different times and the road, as well as the influence of such factors like the intersection delay, weather, and the driver level, there will be a deviation between BRT practical run time and program run time, BRT run time reliability will have a certain degree of reduction. Among all the influence factors,signal intersection delay made a greatest influence on BRT run time reliability.This article reviews the development of domestic and international about signal intersection delay and transit run time reliability related research, according to the BRT travel characteristics at the signal intersection, routine BRT signal intersection delay model is constructed, based on two kinds of signal priority control method, the green light extension and green lights ahead, analyzes the signal priority intersection delay change of BRT, shows the models of priority phase BRT and non-priority phase the other social vehicles delay, using total persons delay instead of the total vehicles delay, to analyze the change of signalized intersection total delay provide signal priority for BRT.BRT departure time reliability and BRT intersite travel time reliability be chosen for judging BRT run time reliability, and established the mathematical model of that two reliability index. Due to signalized intersection delay no influence to BRT departure time Reliability, this paper selects analysis the influence of signal intersection delay impacts on BRT intersite travel time reliability, with an example of BRT of Anning district, Lanzhou city, investigates the BRT intersite travel time and BRT signalized intersection delay data between Liujiabao station and Xizhan station, making distribution fitting for which two groups of data, selects suitable distribution function respectively, assumes that the BRT intersite travel time and signal intersection delay conforms to the selected distribution, then makes distribution test of goodness of fit, the results show that BRT travel time between Liujiabao station and Xizhan station conforms to logarithmic normal distribution, BRT intersite signal intersection delay conforms to normal distribution;then the Monte Carlo method is applied in this article, makes a random sampling from the two distribution, calculates the BRT intersite travel time reliability and BRT signalized intersection delay time Reliability, and the BRT intersite travel time reliability without signal intersection delay influence.End of the paper, assumes set a number of priority signal intersections between Liujiabao station and Xizhan station, calculates the BRT intersite travel time reliability when the signalized intersection delay time between the two stations was reduced by 10%, 15%, 20%, 10% and 30%, and compared the results. The results show that the signal intersection delay has a significant impact on BRT intersite travel time reliability.
