With the rapid development of social economy and the continuous progress of urbanization,caused the car ownership expanding very fast,and makes the traffic become more and more crowded in our country.In the face of the complex traffic conditions,we can divide the complex urban traffic road network into a number of independent regions,use some advanced science technology methods to study regional traffic signal control system,by using the reasonable traffic signal control scheme to manage and control the regional traffic and ease the urban traffic pressure.In the study of regional traffic signal control system,Firstly,based on the distributed multi agent technology,regional traffic is divided into multiple agents in this paper,and established regional traffic multi-agent model,and studied on each agent's structure and function,as well as inter communication among agents.Secondly according to the distributed multi-agent system model,and based on the multi agent system's function and structure,combined with intelligent traffic control equipment and Ethernet technology to studied on the regional traffic signal control system's architecture.Finally in order to achieve the system's regional signal optimization function,based on the regional signal control method,this paper chose the minimum of regional vehicle average delay as the optimization example,and used particle swarm optimization algorithm to studied on the regional traffic signal optimization method.In order to verify the system architecture,this paper used Cisco Packet Tracer simulation software to simulate the system's architecture,and used the simulation result to verify the correctness and rationality of the system's architecture.In the signal optimization method verify experiment,this paper used VISSIM traffic simulation software to simulated and compared optimized signal scheme with signal scheme without optimization of the region with four intersections,by comparing the regional vehicle delay by use optimized signal scheme with the regional vehicle delay by use signal scheme without optimization to validate the effectiveness of regional signal optimization method.Finally,according to the study on the system architecture and regional signal optimization method,this paper build the regional traffic signal control system with four intersections to realized the system architectures and signal control method,and verified the feasibility of the system architecture and regional signal optimization method by testing.
