In rencent years,environmental pollution and energy problems have attracted people's attention.This paperdesigned the electric vehicle's permanent magnet synchronous motor by analyzing the characteristic and vector control principle of electric vehicle driving system and permanent magnet synchronous motor.The design of converter permanent magnet synchronous motor was optimized based on the ansoft software.Using theVariable frequency permanent magnet synchronous motor aselectric vehicle drive motor in combination with considering the practical operation condition of electric vehicles,a drive motor and electric design optimization and simulation analysis was thenimplemented on the ansoft Maxwell software.Permanent magnet synchronous motor has some advantages such ashigh power density,wide speed range,high efficiency,and small size so it hasbroad prospects for application in electric vehicles.Due to the complicated operating condition,the performance of the drive motor must satisfythis situation.This article calculated the essential operation requirementshrough the analysis of the actual operation condition and basic situation of electric cars.And through the analysis of basic performance of preliminary selection of motor parameters,the electromagnetic design of permanent magnet synchronous motor and the overall design was performed on motor designsoftware ansoft.Thenthrough software simulation the parameters design was optimized to improve the motor performance.Further more,thesimulation of vehicle overloading and voidload characteristic was carried out to verify the motor performance of the designed scheme.Finally the feasibility of the scheme was analyzed.
