Static reactive power compensation device SVC is composed of thyristor controlled reactor (TCR) and the fixed capacitor (FC), which mainly used for reactive power compensation in quick succession and also filter out certain harmonics, has been widely used,but TCR itself will produce harmonics, causing further pollution on the grid.Therefore,this paper proposes a new kind of PWM type dynamic reactive power compensation technology with continuously adjustable and low harmonics. The compensation device is mainly composed of PWM controlled reactor and passive filter, wherein the passive filter can suppress certain harmonics, providing large capacitive reactive power compensation when the fundamental wave, PWM controlled reactor (PCR) can provide continuous inductive reactive.Firstly, in this paper, the working principle of PWM type dynamic reactive power compensation technology is analyzed in detail, its mathematical model is established, the design method of system parameter is determined, and the control strategy is researched.Secondly, the various parts of the hardware circuit of PWM type dynamic reactive power compensation device are designed in detail. Selecting the TMS320F2812 as controller to design software program of each module, and giving the relevant program flow chart.Finally, on the Matlab\Simulink platform establishing system model of PWM type dynamic reactive power compensation device. Simulation and experiment results show that:the device realizes the dynamic reactive power compensation, fast dynamic response in the compensation process and minimal harmonic content injected to the system.
