In the background of technology and information explosion, the requirements of live, work and living conditions are gradually increasing. People pay more attention to the shape of the building, the comfort of environment, the safety of equipment and the level of information architecture. So the complexity and comprehensive function of the building have improved continuously. Simultaneously, the city sizes are rapidly expanding which causes the increasingly prominent of resources and environment issues. Under the guidance of innovation, coordination, green, open, shared development concept, the construction industry will usher in a new revolution in technology and ideas.With the new concepts of green buildings, smart buildings, low-carbon buildings, passive construction are proposed, mechanical facilities in the limited installation space required increases exponentially and the density and complexity of pipe network are continuously improved, leading to put forward the new challenge to the design of integrated network synthesis.BIM (Building Information Modeling) is applied in construction engineering, to solve building information technology, resource conservation and shorten the project cycle, especially for network collision. Pipe network integrated design can be collision analyzed and optimized by BIM and reduce the construction design changes.This paper briefly introduces the current degree of complexity of construction projects pipe network and lack of traditional two-dimensional network design, discussing the research status of BIM technology and applications, especially in the field of comprehensive pipe network. On this basis, this paper proposes the research content, method and technical route.Secondly, studies the applications level of architecture, structure, drainage, HVAC, electrical and other five professions in BIM model and introduces the commonly used software in BIM model.After that, it sums up the norms and standards for personal or non-professional teams base on Revit and summarizes the Revit-based software integrated network modeling process, making modeling process more evidenced-based, predictable and rule.Through practical engineering cases and base on the original two-dimensional drawings of pipe network integrated, re-modeling the structure, electrical and other professional content in Revit. According to the requirements of pipe network optimization, the project took the collision analysis and optimized the pipe network system using Navisworks, and adjusted the arrangement using Revit.The results showed that there are still a lot of problems in the original two-dimensional drawings of the pipe network integrated design, the 3D model created by Revit has played a good role in optimizing and inspecting of the original design. Pipe network design under the concept of BIM has played a more intuitive and convenient guiding role to design and construction and should be generalized and popularized vigorously.
