Developing power factor correction (PFC) technology is an effective method with which to reduce the harmonic pollution of power systems that is produced by electric equipment. It can also improve the electrical efficiency of power devices. Switching power supply power correction technology is one of the hotspots of power electronics technology research. PFC operates in a critical conduction mode control circuit that is simple, high efficiency, low cost, and suitable for small and medium power supply applications.This article describes several circuit topologies and the three operating modes of a power factor correction circuit. Then it analyses the advantages and application area of CRM. In this paper, the working principle and control method of PFC is studied. The control chip of the system in this study is FAN7930. In Chapter Three, the design method and realization process of this circuit is introduced in detail.Finally, according to the design plan to build an experimental device, and waveform data to the main unit to be tested. The results show that the design meets the design requirements, power factor greater than 0.95, the system efficiency of 90%.
