With the rapid development of social economy, people's living standard have been significantly improved, the car as a modern means of transport for people's life is more and more important.But, along with the rapid increasing in the production and sales, attendant vehicle safety problem has become more and more serious, leading to owners cause very serious problems, in order to solve the problem, the concept of intelligent transportation system(ITS) emerged as the times require. As an important part of intelligent transportation system, vehicle monitoring system has become the key research direction in the field of ITS.But existing vehicle monitoring system for vehicle position monitoring mostly appears in the web page, the owners can only in the monitoring center check, and could not to check the position information of vehicle anywhere and high cost of system development, operation and maintenance, and it is not suitable for the individual car owners.With the rapid popularization of tablet computers and smart phones, the use of mobile phone real-time monitoring of vehicle location information is the development trending of vehicle monitoring system. Through the intelligent mobile phone,the topic want to get the position information of the vehicle in real time, compared to the traditional vehicle monitoring system, improving the convenience of the vehicle monitoring system.The Paper analyzes status development trends at home and abroad of development for vehicles monitoring system firstly, deeply researches GPS positioning technology,GPRS wireless communications technology,GSM mobile communications technology,Android application development related technology. Another, the Paper has deeply researched how to combine vehicles mobile monitoring system with intelligent mobile monitoring system better. Given the definition of vehicle monitoring system based on GPS/GPRS, the overall design of the system architecture, system selection, confirming the design of vehicle monitoring system based on the GPS/GPRS program and expounding simply the related technologies finally.Secondly, we had completed the selection and design of the vehicle terminalhardware. According to the general plan of the vehicle-side hardware design, selecting uC/OS-II operating system as a system-board terminal,using Keil uVision4 as development tool, using c language as programming language, selecting STM32F103RCT6 as MCU main control chip and SIM808 as the positioning communication combo module and complete system hardware design schematics and schematic design;finally completing the design and implementation of multiple tasks onboard terminal basing on hardware-based together with uC/OS-IIoperating system.Then in the Eclipse development invironment, we usejava language to complete the design and development of client and server related functions.Using Eclipse as a development environment, Java as a programming language, finishing the interface design of server and mobile client using the UI components provided by Java; and establishing the Socket Communications connection between Server and client based on TCP/IP protocol provided by Java; completing the development of the mobile phone Baidu map using various APIs provided by the Android platform.Finalizing each module hardware and software testing based on GPS/GPRS vehicle monitoring system onboard a mobile terminal, each functional testing of server and Android phone. Test results show that: the design of vehicle movement monitoring system based on GPS/GPRS in this paper initially realizes what the Android mobile client monitor the vehicles in real-time, and provides valuable advice for improving the system.
