With the social development,night light environment of urban residential area draws more and more attention.Dark and crime has certain internal relation.Rational night lighting environment design can increase visibility in the distance,help people to see the opposite person’s facial expression and motion so as to prevent potential crisis.Therefore,use lighting to provide safe and comfortable environment has become the inevitable.The paper mainly aimed at the development trend of residential area.Crime prevention lighting environment was designed to reduce the insecurity of crime and prevent crime.Night light environment of residential area should create a sense of security from physically and mentally and be play a deterrent effect.Through the in-depth investigated of residents,lighting factors which may affect residents feeling of security or fear that promote or restrict the probability of the crime occurrence were studied.Quantitative values of these elements were obtained by experiment and applied to crime prevention lighting environment design of residential area.This will lay the foundation for the establishing of safe and comfortable residential light environment.The work of this thesis can be summarized as follow:1、Through a full-dress investigation of residential area,security degree of different regions and various factors or lighting factors impact on crime prevention were analyzed.Summary of existential issues of residential area will provide guidance on studying precautions elements and proposing of safe light environment.2、Through comparing the national residential lighting standards,as well as the latest progress in lighting,14 subjective cognizable factors that may have impact on crime prevention were proposed and analyzed based on representative district in residential area.After preliminary screening,the crime prevention lighting factors of residential area and their effect can be finally got by the use of entropy method and the analytic hierarchy process for further screening and empowerment.3、Chose two most important factors from crime prevention lighting factors we have got and selected new LED light source proceeded study on quantitative index for crime prevention lighting environment.Let participants experience 12 different light environment built before and the best prevention match value of the two parameters can be achieved according to Weber-Fechner Law.4、On the basis of best prevention match values of crime prevention lighting factors,we chose a particular residential mode for crime prevention light environment design and renovation contra pose the representative district.Through lamps selecting and routing achieved the crime prevention effect.The characteristic of the thesis is to propose of lighting factors and its best prevention match value on the basis of residential area.The results are of valuable reference for the establishing of safe and comfortable social environment.
