High performance ferrocement laminate(HPFL)is a kind of inorganic composite material which uses steel fabric as reinforced material and high performance composite mortar for the base material.Because of its excellent physical and mechanical properties, durability and corrosion resistance etc,HPFL is used widely in the field of reinforcement. Not only the material strength of HPFL reinforcement layer is high, but also has better compatibility and interoperability between the reinforcement material and the reinforced member, and better synergy with concrete. So the HPFL has good reinforcement effect of concrete component.Over the past decade, extensive research carried out which about HPFL strengthening RC structure and masonry in domestic, and the mainly studies is about the flexural, shear, fatigue and anti stripping behavior of beam and slab, the compressive performance of RC column and the seismic behavior of the masonry wall. And systematic research results have been achieved.Research on HPFL reinforced shear wall is almost blank,so it is very meaningful to study the seismic performance of HPFL strengthening short limb shear wall with opening hole, and apply the reinforcement method is to the shear wall engineering to provide the guidance for the engineering practice. In this paper, the seismic performance of 4 pieces of 1/2 scale ratio RC short limb shear wall with opening hole with L-shaped cross-section is studied. In the 4 walls, one is unreinforced specimen SW0 and the other three are HPFL strengthening specimens which respectively recorded as once loading strengthening shear wall specimen SW1,secondary loading strengthening shear wall specimen SW2 and earthquake-damaged strengthening shear wall specimen SW3.Through quasi-static horizontal low cyclic loading test,ANSYS finite element numerical simulation and theoretical analysis, this paper obtains the following main research results.1.Analyzing the results of experimental study can obtain that the bearing capacity and ductility of reinforced specimens have obviousenhancement than unreinforced specimen. The bearing capacity, ductility and energy dissipation capacity of secondary loading strengthening specimen and earthquake-damaged strengthening specimen are lower than once loading strengthening specimen. The stress concentration around the hole of reinforced specimen is improved, and the number of cracks around the hole has reduced. The study shows HPFL could significantly improve the seismic performance of RC short limb shear wall with opening hole.2.Analyzing nonlinear finite element analysis results of the 4 pieces short leg shear wall obtain that the finite element simulation results and experimental results are in good agreement.3.Theoretical formula result of normal section bearing capacity is close to the test value. The theoretical formula can be available for reference in reinforcement.
