Landscape Design Study Of Houliu Ancient Town In Southern Shaanxi Based On The Integration Of Culture And Tourism

Historic and cultural towns are valuable non-renewable cultural tourism resources,recording the development of towns and cities,the transformation of people’s lifestyles and the changes in economic and cultural patterns,and possessing a high degree of historical,cultural,economic and artistic scientific research value.However,with the rapid development of China’s economy,on the one hand,driven by the interests of the "ancient towns" that have a false appearance;on the other hand,the development of tourism has brought enormous pressure on the ancient towns.Therefore,how to achieve a harmonious development between the development and protection of ancient towns has become an urgent problem.The ancient town of Houliu,as a famous town of Shaanxi Province for landscape tourism and history and culture,is known as "the first town of the Han River Three Gorges" and "the first town of the most beautiful water town",and has conservation and research value.This paper takes Houliu Town as the research object from the perspective of cultural tourism integration,and summarises the current situation of Houliu Town’s landscape elements through field visits,questionnaire surveys and SWOT analysis.The study found that Houliu Town has the advantages of beautiful scenery,rich landscape resources,convenient transportation,superior location,relatively perfect hardware conditions and high development potential.However,its problems mainly include loss of landscape authenticity,single landscape function,lack of systematic traffic organisation,imperfect tourism facilities and spatial appearance to be improved.Based on the research of Houliu Town and the existing problems,this paper concludes that the landscape planning and design of Houliu Town needs to fully consider the local geographical environment,natural resources and landscape elements,and give full play to the advantages of local cultural resources and humanistic environment.At the same time,it is necessary to meet the requirements of the principles of cultural localisation,cultural and tourism integration,sustainable development,agricultural economy and humanistic care,and this paper proposes a design strategy based on this,i.e.adopting the strategies of activating the originality of the landscape,creating landscape diversity and enhancing the functionality of the landscape.Finally,with reference to the industrial development trend of Houliu Town,the design of Houliu Town’s landscape is put into practice by opening up the view corridor,improving the landscape interface,dividing different landscape areas and designing their landscape nodes to verify the research results of this paper.The aim is to give full play to the value of Houliu’s tangible and intangible cultural heritage resources,promote industrial development and create a green and unique landscape environment for the town.This study aims to achieve a virtuous cycle of hometown entrepreneurship,cultural heritage and economic development,and to contribute to the sustainable development of Houliu Town.This study takes the integration of culture and tourism as the guiding ideology,and aims to promote the conservation and development of Houliu Town,providing a practical development path for the cultural heritage and development of Houliu Town,the construction and protection of the ancient town,and the cultural and tourism industry from "integration" to "integration and living".At the same time,the research results of this paper are also expected to provide reference value for scholars in similar research directions.
