Municipal road, as an important city infrastructure, is the key element of the national economy construct. Currently, urban pavement appears various damage, such as crack and void, mainly due to repetitive vehicle loading and natural factors. And the increase of heavy vehicle and traffic volume intensify the damage process of pavement, causing worse pavement performance. Compared to common asphalt pavement, large-size asphalt stabilized crushed-base pavement has higher stiffness and strength and better fatigue resistant properties, and it can effectively avoid pavement fracture. The design and evaluation of large-size asphalt stabilized crushed stone has always been the highlight study abroad, although it is just carried out in China in recent years.On the basis of literature study, the research on mechanical properties of large-size asphalt stabilized crushed stone has been conducted. The resilient modulus, splitting tensile strength and the interlayer cohesive model between surface and base were determined through laboratory tests, and the layer modulus was obtained by FWD deflection data.A test road with large-size asphalt stabilized crushed-base was built, the related detection and analysis was conducted, and the finite element software was used to evaluate it. Besides, the study of construction technology of large-size asphalt stabilized crushed-base pavement was also carried out. Finally, the main conclusion was summarized, with corresponding suggestion being proposed.
