In the 21 st century, with the fast development of the economy and continuous growth demand for energy and electric power, information and communication technologies has injected new vitality to the traditional power grid. In this context, the Smart Grid(SG) has become an inevitable trend in the development of the traditional grid.Interoperability of devices in smart grid at the same time enhances the communication between substation and shares convenience, but also brings new security challenges and threats to the substation communications system. Due to the traditional grid smart grid will rely on more information exchange and vast number of device components in the grid, it is likely to lead to any node of information security problems, such as power failure, causing damages to the society on different levels. Therefore, the information security has become an important factor with the development of the smart grid.In this paper, as the smart grid information security problems exists in the communication system, we analyze the smart grid communications system architecture and communication needs, then describe the cryptographic algorithms and public key cryptography and related applications combined with the status quo in Hohhot power communication network through research Intelligent Agent technology for secure communications. For example, we analyze the existing problems in the process of substation security module and cross-domain interoperability and use of intelligent Agent technology designed substation ECC encryption technology based on Intelligent Agent Security Communication module SASCM(Smart Agent Security Communication Model). Then we combined SASCM structure and principles of its safety performance analysis and its security features in solving the problem of secure communication Agent.
