The Smart Grid uses information and communication technology infrastructures to manage the production, transmission and consumption of electrical energy to improve the efficiency of remote control and automation systems.Substation as the most important part of the smart grid, the International Electrotechnical Commission has proposed and developed the IEC 61850 to solve the problem of interoperability among different devices and the sharing of the communication network of its automation system. As the most widely accepted standard in electric power communication system, its definition of communication service and communication protocol has become a research hotspot. With the development and application of the concepts such as large data, the management, security and efficiency of data transmission are facing severe challenges.Software-defined Networking(SDN),as an emerging network technology, can provide users with more flexible network traffic management, network virtualization, better scalability to solve these problems. This paper aims to use SDN technology to improve the management and safety precautions of communication service in substation automation communication system. In this paper, the content and technical characteristics of IEC 61850 and SDN framework are analyzed and researched. Then, the idea and method of IEC 61850 standard object-oriented modeling are studied.Transformer monitoring model is implemented by substation configuration language.A SDN framework for communication management is proposed based on the established information model, and the communication requirements in the model are satisfied by using the control and monitoring tools of SDN controller. The feasibility of the related performance of the frame is confirmed by the test of relative performance...
