In the study,a type of centrifugal pump would be selected were carried out in the numerical simulation of water and sediment flow medium.In addition,the numerical simulation results and the experimental data of water medium were comparatively analyzed.The main research contents and studies include the following points.Firstly,learned the multitude of domestic and international relevant professional intellectual,summarized the engineering background of this paper,described the research status of water and sediment solid-liquid two-phase flow in the world,and the research methods,contents and engineering significance of this paper were obtained.Secondly,by used the original data provided by the manufacturer and the CFturbo software,the flow components of the centrifugal pump were obtained to make the 3D solid model.Next,the 3D model was imported into the general modeling software UG6.0,and further optimized assembly and saved of the centrifugal pump inlet,the impeller,the spiral casing and the outlet.Then the 3D solid model was introduced into the ANSYS grid generation module ICEM for grid division.Different mesh generation methods are used for the complexity of different fluid domains.They were main include in hexahedral structured grid and unstructured tetrahedral mesh.When the mesh quality is achieved and the accuracy of the calculation is combined and stored.Thirdly,would be prepared to import the various components of centrifugal pump to CFX-Pre.The standard k-turbulence model was closed for N-S equation,and using BFC,staggered grid to disperse the N-S control equation.And then SIMPLE algorithm was applied to solve the Navier_Stokes equations.Finally performed flow passage of centrifugal pump for water and sediment water medium numerical simulation under different conditions.Fourthly,with the post-processing module CFX-Post,the pressure distribution of the flow components of the centrifugal pump was obtained,besides internal flow velocity distribution and the turbulent kinetic energy and so on.And the numerical simulation results were compared with the experimental data,which revealed the reliability of this study.The pressure distribution and sediment distribution on the surface of the flow components in the water and sediment transport media were obtained,and then the wear characteristics of different parts of the centrifugal pump were discussed.Aimed at the structure of the prototype pump,the appropriate improvement was made and the optimization results were achieved.
