In face of imminent energy crisis, the solar energy has been favored by all over the world as a clean and inexhaustible new energy. The application of photovoltaic power generation technology is developing rapidly. Photovoltaic power generation auto-tracking appliance which has being used widely can improve the utilization of solar energy, increase the energy generation of solar battery. And widely used in photovoltaic power generation.First, the operating rules of sun and the influencing factors of the photoelectric conversion efficiency were analyzed, and hybrid tracking mode as the electro-optical tracking combined with the movement trajectory tracking was choosed in this paper. Then, some design works were completed such as machinery parts, control parts, photoelectric detection circuit, and PWM stepping motor subdivision control and system commissioning. Dual axis rotating mechanical part was designed by the system requirements, and solar altitude and azimuth were adjusted by stepper motor driving the rotating shaft. MC9S12XS128 SCM was chosed as the controller and the stepper motor angle was tested based on PWM stepping motor subdivision control combination of the Fuzzy-PID control algorithm, and the improved principle of particle swarm optimization algorithm was designed to realize real-time adjustment of control parameters. Finally, this paper combined simulation result of photovoltaic detection circuit and experiments of dual axis tracking system which were carried out in physical device to determine the motor positive inversion voltage threshold of the system.The experiments showed that this project was feasible and effective, and the system can realize the tracking of sun with tracking accuracy within ±0.5°, and can be got stability control in the bad weather.
