With the continuous increase of ageing population in China, the number of patients with hemiplegia caused by cerebral vascular diseases is growing. Using rehabilitation equipment to do rehabilitation training has become the main effective method for hemiplegia patients restoring movement function of the injured limb. For hemiplegia patients need proper passive rehabilitation training in the early postoperative, a tower limb rehabilitation equipment which integrates wheelchair and walking aid rehabilitation training function is proposed in this paper.Firstly, combining with the clinical characteristic of hemiplegic gait, the overall design scheme of wheelchair walking aid rehabilitation training equipment is determined after reading tots of related references. Secondly, the components structure of the rehabilitation equipment is designed respectively in detail by referring to ergonomics. The innovative design method of swing power assisted structure is elaborated in the paper on the basis of the normal gait pattern when human walking on the flat ground. Thirdly, the kinematics model and dynamics model of the swing power assisted structure is established, and also the virtual prototype model is created in ADAMS. The simulation results verified the rationality of the design method. Then a prototype of the equipment is manufactured on the basis of above study, and some relative experiments have been done. The experimental results show that the wheelchair walking aid rehabilitation training equipment can do help hemiplegia patient do the passive gait training, and the power assisted effect is very obvious. Finally, some shortcomings of the study are pointed out and some suggestions for improvement are put forward.The research work and result of the paper are the discussion on areas of lower limb rehabilitation robot, and provide guiding significance for the depth study and realize production ultimately.
