The steel reinforced concrete beam encased angle steel is a sort of new component which replaces steel angle frame-a combination of angle steel and hoop or flat steel-with longitudinal bar as the reinforcement. The study of steel reinforced concrete structure is reaching maturity at present, but the study of lattice type steel reinforced concrete structure is actually few in number, and fewer is the study of design formulas about bearing capacity and stiffness under load of the steel reinforced concrete beam encased angle steel. So it is of great significance and value to optimize and generalize this formula.The article conducted a contrast experiment to eight steel reinforced concrete beams encased angle steel and two reinforced concrete beams, and focused on influences and design formulas about flexural bearing capacity and stiffness of the steel reinforced concrete beam encased angle steel. To prevent the slide between angle steel and concrete which would lead to the early damage of the test beam and inaccuracy of the result, the experiment arranged shear connectors on the surface of the test specimen that could ensure the deformation coordination between angle and concrete and maximum their advantages. The result reveals that: compared to the reinforced concrete beams, the bearing capacity and stiffness of the steel reinforced concrete beams encased angle steel improve significantly; both the placing method and the placement of the angle steel would influence the component's bearing capacity and stiffness, which means:components which arranging the cusps of angle steels facing each other is improved in both bearing capacity and stiffness rather than those arranges the back facing each other, so are the steel reinforced concrete beams encased angle steel which arranging angle steel both in compressive and tensile area better in both bearing capacity and stiffness than those only arranges in compressive area.Finally, the optimized design formulas about bearing capacity and stiffness under load of the steel reinforced concrete beam encased angle steel was presented, and fitted the test results of the article well. This new kind of component is particularly appropriate for long-span structure, and has a certain significance for both theoretical study and practical application.
