| As China’s urbanization development speed slows, more and more cities begin to shift from the incremental development to the inventory development. As the old city area, historic area has becomes the focus of the revival of urban construction. By functional and spatial development strategy to realize the historical area protection and development coordination, becomes the key of the revival.Historic area can be recognized as a combination of by space, function, features, and people elements. In order to find out the effect of each factor, we propose the "vitality point" concept, and establish a historic area vitality evaluation model, which evalutes from space accessibility, the degree of mixing function and culture feature these three dimensions. Taking the historic area of Nanjing Confucius temple as an example, the analysis results show that in the historic area, the culture feature, space accessibility, the degree of mixing function exist significant correlation with the vitality, and the culture feature is the most closely. Based on analysis conclusion, we put forward the general rule of the dynamic distribution of the historic area and the strategy in raising vitality.Strategies are used in Baoyan Historic Area to verify their correctness. Fully tap the cultural characteristics of Baoyan Historic Area, combined with the strategy of historic area vitality building, we propose the corresponding development strategies from the space, function and cultural dimension. By evaluating the "vitality" status of the present and planning of Baoyan, the result shows that the strategies played a positive role. |
