With the development of the Internet of things technology, more and more attention has been paid to the Internet of things applications. Among them, the concept of smart home has been gradually penetrating into our daily lives. For this, research on intelligent switch with single wire based on household has great significance, besides, most of intelligent swithes in the market are supposed to be connected with double wire, but most family in general do not consider an additional neutral wire at the switch, and therefore single wire intelligent switch is of significant in convenient installation. This paper mainly is the research and design of intelligent switch with single wire.Through the elaboration of the research background and significance, the domestic and foreign research and development status of intelligent switch are introduced in this paper, summarizes the key technology of intelligent switch. Via the comparative analysis of many kinds of technology solutions, puts forward the overall architecture and the design of the intelligent switch. Then, this paper introduces the function and technical requirements of the intelligent switch, and it summarizes the index and gives the design task on the requirements.Then this paper introduces several single wire circuit solutions, which include leakage current, rechargeable battery, electromagnetic induction. After the detailed simulations of these circuits, it elaborates all these circuit works, and presentes the analysis of simulation results. On the basis of simulation, it designes power supply circuit, mainly the design of power module. After completing the component selection, it completes the switch design on PCB, and each module debugging.Then, it completes the software design of intelligent switch, which includes the realization of ZigBee, Z-Stack protocol stack, the use of OSAL, networking mechanism, message mechanism, and the process of sending and receiving data, and the terminal into sleep mode to reduce the power consumption. Finally, the paper introduces the methods used in the development process of debugging and shows some functional test cases and the joint debugging results, and it achieves the requirements on controlling many kinds of lamps on and off.Finally, all works of this paper is summarized, some problems of intelligent switch are raised and a prospect to the follow-up work is made.
