Material testing machine is one of the important equipment instruments for testing the mechanical properties and process performances, which main function is to test the mechanical properties of materials. Nowadays, tensile testing machines are very common in the community with high costs while the research funding of most ordinary universities is tight. In terms of the development situation of tensile testing in domestic, we find it has little opportunity to be learned more by all students studied in automation or mechanical. According to this situation, this paper designs a tensile testing machine and its control system which are suitable for most teaching experiments and electronic enthusiasts to develop and use, mainly to complete the work in the following areas:Firstly, Based on the overall understanding of tension test system, a part model diagram of tensile test prototype is designed which considering the material of parts, the cost and production process and other factors. Then we propose four-part mechanical components manually which are included: The base portion of tensile testing machine, Screw kit and other gearing, Stage and tensioning means, Motors, sensors and fixtures. In the end, the AC servo system and its control plan are analyzed for experimental need.Secondly, We propose rally test system embedded hardware circuit with Arduino Uno at the core to complete the data collection of servo motor control and tension sensor signal.Thirdly, Using Labview software to develop the PC control system, we achieve motor control, data acquisition, data analysis, storage, printing and other functions according to functional requirements.Fourthly, Tensile test prototype is debugged on the finished prototype and the tensile test of rubber material has completed. It tests the mechanical strength of the prototype we studied and the rationality and effectiveness of our prototype measurement and control system. The experiment results demonstrate that hardware mechanical design and software program have achieved the desired effect. Above all, my study design and implement in four parts which are tensile test platform and its power supply circuit, embedded acquisition control boards, PC control system, experimental debug and analysis.
