With the environment problems becoming the global issues and the concepts of environmental protection including sustainable development gradually deepening, the construction industry, one of mainstay industries in our country, consumes a large quantity of resources and generates serious environmental pollution, which makes green buildings focus with their environment-friendly, low-carbon and energy-saving advantages. Our country has introduced relevant policies to promote the development of green buildings. Nowadays, energy-saving and low-carbon technological research related to green buildings is in full swing, but the total scale of green buildings in our country shares a small part of construction market with the obvious differentiation in geographical distribution and the scale development of green buildings in different areas differs considerably from each other, which lead to a result that the scale development of green buildings is very slow. Concerning the issue, this paper focuses on the correlation of regional competitiveness with the scale development of green buildings, figures out the relational degree and the coordination degree between regional competitiveness and the scale development of green buildings and puts forward policy suggestions, from the perspective of regional integrated development, which aims to promote regional competitiveness, in the meanwhile facilitate the scale development of green buildings to the maximum and regional integrated development.Firstly, this paper constructs the evaluation system of regional competitiveness, which divides regional competitiveness into regional hard power and regional soft power and adopts Analytic Hierarchy Process and Primary Component Analysis to compute the scores based on the source data of 30 provinces; and then it conducts research on the correlation of regional competitiveness with the scale development of green buildings by qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. The research analyzes qualitatively the interplay and mutual independence, the mutual promotion and reciprocal inhibition between regional competitiveness and the scale development of green buildings; next it applies Pearson Correlation Coefficient to compute the relational degree between regional competitiveness and the scale of green buildings;then the author finds high relational degree between regional competitiveness and the scale development of green buildings with regional hard power > regional soft power, the relational degree in regional hard power: the government force > scientific and technological strength > economic strength and the relational degree in regional soft power: quality of population > public service > cultural resources > ecological environment. Afterwards, the research computes the degree of coupling and the coordination degree between regional competitiveness and the scale development of green buildings and between the hard power and soft power of its subsystem and the scale development of green buildings applying the degree of coupling and coordination degree model; the author finds 90% of the whole country in both have high degree of coupling and low coordination degree, and the soft power has an evident influence on the coordinated development in both only in some areas with balanced regional hard power and soft power, which suggests that regional competitiveness and the scale development of green buildings are complementary to each other and the coordinated development can contribute to regional integrated development. In conclusion, this paper argues that regional integrated development should be based on the balanced development of regional hard power and regional soft power, and in the meanwhile reinforce government's guidance and increase funding in the research and development on technology; on the other hand, regional integrated development should facilitate the importance of ecological environment in regional competitiveness by developing the scale of green buildings in reverse direction.
