Airfield lighting is to protect the plane for taking-off, landing, taxiing at night under the complex weather conditions. It helps the pilots to make the plane land safely within the eyesight of the pilots. Airfield lighting monitor system is a main constituation of airfield lighting system. It's main function is controlling the level of lights, monitoring the states of the system, and analyzing the faults. It makes significance to manage the information of controlling and monitoring centralized through the fieldbus and the computer monitoring and control system. This paper designs a communication interface based on Devicenet Group2 Only Slaver. In order to fulfill the navigation lights monitoring system of communication application requirement, It Introduces three levels network technology applied in Rockwell Automation network platform from actual demanding. In order to complish the designing, this paper introduces part of reference model of DeviceNet, DeviceNet connection technology, the use of the message identifier, I/O data triggered rules, the process of allocation and release the predefined master/slave connection. The object models are selected based on the protocol. The paper designs the I/O data format, as well as data mapping according to data requirements of servo drive; The Bosch CAN's driver programmer is compiled. In the paper hardware is designed and the software is accomplished based on the protol. In the test apartment, the paper applys the Rockwell automation master PLC and configuration software RSLogix 5000 to construct DeviceNet network, In this paper human-machine interface is designed and constructed using Rockwell Automation's master node and PLC.It has meaning to improve performance of navigation lights monitoring system and develop the DeviceNet fieldbus' s application.
