In the past three decades from reform and opening, a variety of high-rise buildings with novel modeling and complex structure type are developing everywhere while the society is developing rapid. Frame- Shear Structure with Box Transfer Layer,the structural properties different from the traditional beam transfer structure, studied seismic performance is also relatively small. Based on this, this paper box with a box transfer layer- shear wall structure of this complex structure includes the following high-level research-related seismic performance:In this paper, the research object is a 30-story-tall and 91.85-metre-high Frame-Shear structure with box transfer layer whose seismic intensity is 7 degrees(0.10g). Using ETABS establish several models with different height of transfer story and different height of the box transfer story and different transfer story's position of height. Then use the mode decomposition response spectrum method to analyze the variation and the influence law of their vibration characteristics, stiffness and displacement, under miner earthquake.After that, we focus on a specific structure with stationary height of the box transfer story as 3m and layer slab thickness as 250 mm and and it is located on the 5th floor,and using software ETABS make an elastic time-history analysis on the structure model for additional calculations. Then make a comparison on the result of two methods-the elastic time-history analysis and the mode decomposition response spectrum method.The research results showed that: With the height of transfer story increasing, its stiffness and rigidity of its structure gradually grow. And with the thickness of its floors increasing, its stiffness and rigidity of its structure have a little change. The place of transfer layer is so important in engineering application that it can't be too high or too low.On the one hand,if the place of transfer layer was too high, its inter-storey displacementand displacement angle would be easier to change suddenly. On the other hand, if the place of transfer layer was too low, it would make the frame construction below have an excessive shear. Compared with the result of its shear from mode-superposition response spectrum method, the result from Elastic Time-History Analysis is slightly more excessive. In order to be consistent with the capacity and stiffness of the structure in engineering application,it is actual layout of the structure and operation requirements that play an important role in choosing appropriate height, thickness of transfer layer, and appropriate floor it located.
