Numerical Simulation Of VARTM To Production Of The Hull

Vacuum Assisted Resin Transfer Molding(referred to as VARTM), one of the Liquid Composite Molding(LCM) techniques, is an adaptation of the Resin Transfer Molding(RTM) process.For the Vacuum Assisted Resin Transfer Molding process of the composite, this paper reviews the research progress both at home and abroad, and put forward the improvement methods to solve these problems that often appear in the molding process. As a result of the lower cost of mould and suitable for large and reinforcement components, the range of its application is more and more widely.Secondly, the rheological properties of the vinyl resin system have been studied systematically. We have studied the typical forming process with the Vacuum.Assisted Resin Transfer Molding to production of the resin matrix composite hull and found combination rule of the process parameters to avoid dry spots.
