| Vacuum assisted resin infusion(VARI)is a novel and low cost technology of making composite materials.It has been successfully applied to the field of yacht manufacturing on the account of the advantages of low cost,effectively performance,environmentally friendly and can be used in the shaping of overall components.At present,the accomplishment of products molding needs relatively long time,high-cost and larger defect rate,this can be attributed to the reason that the parameters of VARI are mainly operated by artificial experience of workers across the country.Therefore,it is of great importance to optimize the parameters of VARI process to reduce the defects of products and improve the quality of the yacht.This research systematically accomplished the simulation analyzing at the forming of the yacht in VARI processing,and thus acquired some relevantly optimizing processing parameters to complete the theory of production in large yacht hull molding process.The subject of this paper is mainly about:1)Conducting theoretical study deeply in molding process of VARI on the basis of summarizing VARI molding process.Aimed at analyzing major processing parameters to improve the properties of vacuum forming materials.Establishing process system fault trees on the account of the hull quality,using the Monte Carlo method for simulation calculation to get the weak links of process according to the actual production conditions and obtained 237.5 h of the mean time between failures.2)The simulation of filling and test analysis of main technological parameters on the resin flow front position influence.In order to effectively grasp the parameter values in the VARI process of hull modeling,this paper has conducted on the resin viscosity,thickness of the layers fabric,injection methods et al in the influence of the studies on the filling flow process of fiber precast body.Using RTM-Worx software to fill stimulated in the process of the resin flow in VARI process,and setting up a visual resin filling VARI experimental platform,coMParing and analyzing the simulation filling results with the test results,as to provide a basis for the hull model test.3)Optimizing designing and filling simulation analysis on the hull.Using Rhinoceros to fabricate 5.9ft 3d model hull according to the needs of the hull model test,and described the mold making process.Using RTM-Worx to simulate filling the hull has different flow channels,comprehensively analysis of filling quality,filling time as well as the operating complexity,selecting the best type of longitudinal flow-path-arrangement.Established about the optimized mathematical model of injection gate spacing,molding time and cost,simulate filled the space of different injection gate of hull,utilized date-interpolation fitting method to get the optimal spacing of x=560mm,y=170mm.According to the results of the optimization,under the simulating and tested filling of the hull respectively,obtained an arrangement of the resin flow process,results and model quality trend. |
