Wet pavement seriously affects take-off and landing safety of aircrafts. The fundamental reason is tyres-water film interaction. And the interaction generates fluid power that makes the taxiing direction of the aircraft change. This phenomenon is called hydroplaning. The hydroplaning leads to seriously economic losses because of the high speed of aircrafts, even leading to the aircraft ruined and people dead. Based on the C-class of central university program- Research of Taxiing Direction of the Aircraft under Multi-wheel Hydroplaning and Crosswind Coupled(3122014C013), hydroplaning behavior of aircrafts is researched and predicted. The studies on the hydroplaning of aircrafts in the water areas of the pavement make a great significance on ensuring the safety of aircrafts landing on wet pavement. The specific contents are as follows:(1)Based on the theory of elastic hydrodynamic lubrication and a variety of aircrafts especially the aircraft B737, the 2D finite element analysis model is established on software Fluent considering longitudinal pattern tyres with the grounding sections. The model is used to simulate the process of impacted tyres by water. Then the effect of wheel set is proposed. Flow calculation domain field with different aircrafts and the hydroplaning influence parameters are analyzed.(2)The 3D model of the hydroplaning is built. And 108 different operating modes are designed to simulate the hydroplaning of tyres. Then the interaction equation between the dynamic water pressure of tyres and relevant influencing factors is obtained by regression.(3) Pendulum instrument method is used to measure attachment coefficients on different water film conditions, and the in situ measured data from the domestic and overseas airports pavement is used to definite the parameters adopted. Finally, the hydroplaning of a taxiing aircraft is predicted on a rainy day, and the braking distance extension of the aircraft in this case is calculated based on the formula of dynamic water pressure and the strength of rainfall.
