Variable Stator Vane is one of the most important part of aero-engine, so the high pressure compressor often use multistage variable vane mechanism to avoid surge and stall. When the engine is not working at its design point, the flow between each stage is not match, which may make the air flow unstably, even cause surge or vibrate. The engine will drift its normal working status and even shut down when it surge. In apply of engineering, in order to widen stability margin and raise efficiency of engine, the variable IGV and VSV is often used to adjust flux and attack angle. The surge of engine is the shake phenomenon of air pressure and flux in outlet when the airflow flow into high pressure compressor with big attack angel. In order to make the compressor have a better property and minimize the weight and space of the compressor, compressor is often designed as a multistage variable stator vane combine mechanism. As the cost and period is high and long, the technology of traditional design is not perfect, some factors such as dimensional tolerances, gap and resistance of pair may have influence on the mechanism, even caused failure. When the engine is in failure, coefficient of airflow is not normal which may cause the engine surge. This article take the VSV system of CFM56-3 engine as research object, take consideration of factors such as accuracy, gap of pair and resistance, creating 3D model of the VSV mechanism with CATIA, and make simulation by ADAMS with the basic theory of kinematics and dynamic, analysis the effect caused by these factors, and then soften some rigid part with ANSYS which has great ability in meshing. At last, make combine dynamic simulation by imputing the flexible body to ADAMS,analysis the influence of the flexible body. In the end, the importance and defect of the control system is stated, and some optimizing measures are raised to some reference for maintenance engineering.
