As China-Asian exposition permanently settled in Nanning, Nanning will become an international metropolis, and the construction of Five as new area of Nanning as the national strategy of development of north of economic zone in Guangxi, which is an important platform and frontier about Nanning to the south development, close to sea, fully integrate to the north of economic zone in Guangxi. Therefore, the interchange project between Pingle Road and Yudong Road is an important traffic rode in Five as new area has a great significance for perfecting the urban transportation network.In this paper, firstly introduces the natural conditions about topography, geomorphology, geology, climate, hydrology, earthquake and infrastructure about road, ditches, pipelines, buildings, and in the stage about early research, introduces two kinds of scheme comparsion demonstration work in feasibility study phase and design phase; secondly, analyzed the forecast about road, land use, bus, rail planning and traffic volume in interchange area; thirdly, considering the overall design principle, analysis of positioning and the factors affecting the selection of interchange, and opposing scheme for comparison, determine the recommendation from the interchange; finally, given the recommended scheme of the flat vertical and horizontal design, roadbed design, pavement structure design, bridge design and construction scheme, and proposes the construction plan.In the process of the project plan research, get the following conclusion:1. In the project prophase study, the basis of natural conditions and the urban facilities along the site shall be detailed investigation and argumentation;2. After completion of studies at the early stage of the plan, we should forecast the traffic volume nearby interchange area which can convenient design;3. Before the professional engineering design, we should consider the interchange positioning and selections factors, and then determine the recommended scheme of the interchange;4. In the professional engineering design, we should fully consider various factors, especially should consider the engineering geological conditions, step by step according to the steps to carry on the design.
