Aerospace industry although started late, but development is rapid, no matter in the field of civilian and military, has made unshakable status. From aerospace industry trajectory, the development of composite material undoubtedly brought a qualitative leap. However, due to the complexity of composite material structure, combined with the special properties such as anisotropy, the damage mechanism, failure forms and maintenance technology has significant difference with metal material. After composites used in aerospace products, how to ensure the safety and reliability become the most interesting issue, in which non-destructive testing(NDT) of composite materials is particularly prominent.Because of the characteristics that NDT will not cause damage of the material, it has been widely recognized in the whole field include design, manufacture and use. Until now, mature NDT methods have also been dozens, but each approach has its limitations. Digital Coin-Tap Test as a rising star of nondestructive testing, with other NDT irreplaceable advantages. However, because the digital coin-tap test premature, so its application is less.Paper first analyzes the NDT methods of aerospace composites, and then details the coin-tap test principle and the problems existing in use, and puts forward solutions for its problems, and finally verifies the program through the experiment. Aimed at the application of coin-tap test, this paper mainly solved the three problems. First, this paper solved the problem of digital coin-tap test has no standard process. Second, this paper solved the problem of standard data acquisition and resolution determined. Third, this paper proposed the method of determining damage based on data processing. In view of the solution for these three issues, this paper has been verified in the fifth chapter, and determined the effectiveness of the scheme.Research achievements of this paper, on the one hand, can be in the NDT of aerospace composite material design, production and maintenance, on the other hand, can provide ideas and basis for later study of digital coin-tap test, in order to make the digital tap detection theory more perfect, more widely applied.
