As the core of the UAV flight control system, flight control computer has a crucial effect on the reliability of the UAV, and the fault detection and diagnosis of flight control computer of UAV flight control system is of special significance to the reliability. The most traditional detection of flight control computer is manual operation with a certain subjectivity and low efficiency. Accordingly, a system of automatic detection and fault diagnosis is designed with 586-Driver board as the core. The system takes the 586-Driver core board as the control chip and expands a plurality of auxiliary detection module on the periphery. By using the automatic detection technology and fault diagnosis expert system based on fault number, the function of detection and diagnosis of the flight control computer is realised. With the design, the strength of the staves is liberated, and the efficiency and accuracy of detection of the flight control computer is improved, which ensures the flight safety of UAV. The main contents of the paper are as follows.Firstly, this paper carries a deep understanding of the development of detection and diagnosis, the computer hardware structure and the demand analysis of the measured flight control computer are studied carefully. Based on the above work, the system's hardware resources is determined and a set of the overall design is given by considering hardware resources and system function.Secondly, according to the characteristics of the 586-Driver core board, the application demand of peripheral circuits, and following the principle of easy disassembly and maintenance, the design of the hardware system is completed by analyzing the principle of the system circuit and drawing the PCB circuit board.Thirdly, detection and diagnosis algorithm is selected and designed. In detection method, he automatic detection technology and signal threshold detection technology are adopted, and a set of fully functional testing solution of flight control computer on one-click is developed, which realizes the sequential testing to all functions of the flight control computer without manual operation. In the diagnosis algorithm, a diagnostic method is designed by combining the fault tree analysis method and fault diagnosis expert system. By using the fault tree analysis as a means of acquiring knowledge, the design of knowledge base and inference engine is carried out. On the basis of the work, the software design of the system is completed.Finally, in order to verify rationality and correctness of the design scheme, a test plan checking from local to the overall is formulated to carry on single function test and on-line debugging of the system. The test result shows: the function of the system is running well, the commands are well executed, the overall performance of the system is excellent, injected faults are reflected in the true, the system of automatic detection and fault diagnosis based on 586-Driver meets the requirement of detection and diagnosis.
