Railway transportation has become an indispensable part of the national economy, however, the problem of overload because of the super speed and volume increase that have to cause attaches great importance. At present,the main application of measuring instruments include track scale, super slant instrument and the wheel load instrument of hand pressure type. These devices have certain advantages, but there are still a lot of defects and limitations.From the present situation analysis, the van of partial load measurement field still has a lot of room to improve.In order to solve this problem, this paper designed a new type of intelligent wheel load instrument based on the ZigBee wireless network technology and ARM, it has some advantage that include light weight, high precision, easy to operate and Can be carried in the body,it realize the source control, basicly meet the requirements of measurement field.This paper introduced in detail the overall scheme design, structure design, hardware and software design, field test of intelligent wheel load instrument. The intelligent wheel load instrument is mainly composed of two parts that include mechanical hydraulic structure and electronic measurement control unit, Among them, Electronic measurement control unit is divided into wireless data acquisition module and PC data processing module. The wireless data acquisition module is using a ZigBee wireless network communication technology, ZigBee wireless network technology, network flexibility, reliable transmission, high stability, good real-time performance, small energy consumption, ZigBee wireless network technology well realize the sensor signal acquisition, packaging and transport of the intelligent wheel load instrument. The core of the upper machine part is the STM32F107 chip that is widely used in industrial control field, the upper machine developed the system software of the intelligent wheel load instrument based on uC/OS-III embedded real-time operating system kernel and uC/GUI graphical interface, the upper machine Successfully implements the data processing, file processing, human-computer interaction interface, and other functions control of the lower machine,it has reached the application requirements. The design of intelligent wheel load instrument is Convenient, accurate and efficient, but the scene display, print, store data, can automatically calculate freight train of overweight, partial load, lay particular stress on information, and will measure information electronic display on the LCD screen, this really has realized the simplification, automatic and scientific of railway measuring instrument.
