Bow door is one of the important equipment of roll-on roll-off, its movement is independent relatively, and the hull structure and channel device between the movement coordination is relatively complex. bow door usually works on right and left open modes, its shape is influenced by hull lines, size also need to satisfy the stem springboard, release the special arc shape. Bow in the process of door opening and closing, opening and closing cylinder should be considered, wind, water power, gravity and inertia force situation is more complex. Therefore, the study of bow door structure and motion control is of great significance.Based on the technical features of model DXDL ? ro-ro, using practice and kinematics analysis method, the structure of the ro-ro bow door is designed.The designed model DXDL ? ro-ro bow door model structure is analyzed by mechanics, and the strength of some key parts like the bow door hinge pin is checked. Dynamics analysis is performed on the bow door movement. The mechanical model of driving oil cylinder is established based on the dynamics analysis results, the mathematical formula of the oil cylinder pull force Fc is deduced, hydraulic system is designed, and the strength of the cylinder is checked.Based on the established Fc expression, using the Simulation X, hydraulic system and the beyond load are simulated. Using the Huade balancing valve the beyond load is controlled successfully, and compared with the screw-type cartridge valve made in SUN company of USA the simulation results show that the Huade balancing valve can be used to replace SUN screw-type cartridge valve.Model DXDL ? ro-ro bow door system is developed successfully, the application effect of Huade balancing valve and the working performances of the bow door system is tested. Field test results show that the developed model DXDL ? ro-ro bow door system model has the advantages of stable operation speed control in this paper, research results can be applied to other similar roll-on roll-off.
