Event refers to the threshold exceeded by monitoring parameter and the state that is kept to reach the required length of time. Nowadays, the method of flight operational quality evaluation is limited to the statistics and trend analysis for the flight events, and quantitative evaluation process is insufficient. Quantitative evaluation method is studied.Firstly, establish event set. Monitored object sets are established. The flight events are analyzed from the perspective of flight operational characteristics, aircraft performance and flight environment. The events are described from the viewpoint of crew, aircraft and environment. The related parameters are confirmed, and monitored object set is established, that is event set for the flight operational quality.Secondly, build the event margin and evaluation models. According to flight quality monitor standards, it is established which can reflect the degree of single flight event. Three kinds of event margin computing pattern are established from the relations of main test parameter exceeding the limitations. Quantitative analysis model mathematical model of event margin is established with the principal component analysis method, and the linear correlation of event margin between monitor targets is removed through this model. The standard of evaluations is integrated into a unified framework, and the overall quantitatively evaluation of the monitoring objectives is achieved. At last, it is verified by the reliable QAR flight data of 20 kinds of Flight and thirties fights are taken as the research object. The evaluation index is established by the rules of flight operational knowledge. The events are overall quantitative evaluated by the events which are selected from four monitoring phases, including the takeoff, approach, landing and full flight. The results show that this method is available.
