With the intensified energy crisis and environmental problem on the world-wide scope for recent years, the hydropower energy has got more and more attention as a kind of renewable clean energy. The simulation calculation for hydraulic transient process shall play the important role on the designing period and safe operating stage of the hydroelectric power station, there are many simulation software for the hydraulic transient process developed for and applied in the hydroelectric power station. But due to the limitation of their platform, those software still have the problems of that higher starting point for the user, poor experience on user interface, hard to make amendment and poor migration effect etc, these shall restraint the popularization and application of these software. Base on the simulation theory of the hydraulic transient process, by comprehensively considering of the development status of the simulation software for the hydraulic transient process this paper aims to improve the software's universal property and the convenience of software operation, to develop a set of visualized simulation system for the hydraulic transient process that combining the structure of water conservancy project through graphical modeling.The main study work in this paper are: to discuss the simulation principles for the hydraulic transient process and the relative technology used for system development in details, including the graphical modeling technology, object-oriented technology and human-computer interaction technology; based on the comprehensive analysis for the feasibility of the system realization, to select C# as the development language to develop this system; by combining the object-oriented technology with the simulation principle of the hydraulic transient process, according to the demand of graphical modeling to finish the establishment of the mathematical model of the hydraulic transient process; realizing the function of graphical modeling, to enable the user constructing the portfolio of hydraulic project through butting the components of hydraulic project model; to design the supporting search module for the graphical modeling function, realizing the automatically formed structure description document; to integrate the configuration for the search module connecting information into the operation of graphical modeling, assuring the closure of the connecting information; depending on the search module to design simulation calculation program for the transient process of the general structure,, to enable the simulation calculation responding the complex structures for the plenty of parallel pipes and branch pipes; to design the friendly human-computer interaction interface, providing the uses with common auxiliary operation, then realizing the visualization of the simulated result.
