The Research Of Rehabilitation Space Design Based On The Medical-Endowment Pattern Institution For The Aged

The sixth census results show that by the end of 2010, China has entered the aging society. However, when facing special conundrum, such as long term medical treatment for chronic diseases or Alzheimer's disease, the current rehabilitation center cannot bear such responsibilities.Such types of special rehabilitation center are rarely in China, it is the weak field of aging buildings research. This article aims to the research of rehabilitation space design on the basis of geriatric rehabilitation therapy, which crossing the field of architecture, medicine, gerontology, psychology, sociology as well as other areas of the discipline. It contains the design of function training, physical therapy, health management departments based on human physiology, psychology, physical model size. Through inquiring and summarizing the case studies, the research will conclude operational and applicable design foundations and techniques.At last, combine with French Europe practical project, Nanjing Xian Lin geriatric rehabilitation center. Through the analysis of rehabilitation space research, the article is raising further discussions and proposals for the design of geriatric rehabilitation center under the China's medical model.
