Distributed hybrid electric vehicle was driven by electro-mechanical system, it means mechanical driving in the front axle and wheel-motor driving in the rear axle, double power flow transmission has the characteristics of high efficiency and stepless speed variation. Therefore, there is a nice application prospect in heavy vehicles. The controller is a key component of distributed hybrid vehicle and the control strategy of vehicle energy management is one of the core technology of hybrid electric vehicle, and it determines the working mode of vehicle power system and the timing point of each component.In this paper, the energy management control strategy of the distributed hybrid electric vehicle controller and the controller hardware in the loop simulation were discussed, the main content includes:(1)The structure?working priciple of the distributed hybrid vehicle and the performance of each component in the transmission system were analyzed, based on Matlab/Simulink environment, the simulation platform of the vehicle has been built by theoretical and experiment modeling, it includes: engine model?wheel-motor/generator model?transmission model?battery model and driver model.(2)Based on the logic threshold of battery's So C of the distributed hybrid energy management strategy was propsed, it can be divided into three components: obtaining the torque of vehicle, judging the time point of working mode and calulating the target torque, and on the vehicle simulation platform, having simulation analysis for the working condition of acceleration ? maximum speed ? pure electric and driving charge, the simulation results demostrate that the vehicle's mode can smootly change by the given driving demand in the process of the four kinds of working condition.(3) Combined with the characteristics of the development of hybrid electric vehicle controller and the requirement of the laboratory's project, the project team established based on hybrid electric Matlab/RTW/x PC Target real-time simulation environment for vehicle controller hardware in the loop test platform, the simulation model was built on the host computer to generate x PC target real-time code by RTW toolbox and download to the target computer, completed the design of controller's software by Codewarrior, and having a test of hardware in the loop simulation. Simulation results demostrate that real-time simulation results and computer simulation results are basically identical, and the design of the distributed control strategy of hybrid electric vehicle controller and the established hardware in the loop simulation test platform are reasonable and feasible.
