The requirements of aviation equipment maintenance become higher due to the speedy development of science and technology and especially the development of information technology. This research aims at an important parameter of aviation maintenance logistic systems, which is the Mean Logistic Delay Time(MLDT). Based on experience from civil aviation enterprises in maintenance logistic management, the queuing theory which has been quite maturely applied in military equipment research is adopted to investigate the allocation of the logistic resources and to provide an optimal solution. The research can then be reused in the military logistics fields to shorten the logistic delay time, which will provide a theoretical basis for improving military and economic benefits of military logistical support.First of all, the current situation and existing problems of support resource management in airline maintenance systems are investigated. Then according to the characteristics of the engineering department and material sector, factors influencing the aviation equipment MLDT have been sought. The total amount of maintenance tasks, which is the main influencing factor of civil aviation maintenance logistic resources allocation, is found out through regression and correlation analysis. On this basis, the probability distributions of these influencing factors are investigated by the hypothesis testing method.Secondly, in the process of research on queuing theory, this paper is based on analysis of the features of a stochastic service system constituted by airline maintenance personnel,reference army theoretical research. A mathematic model with the average arrival rate land the average service rate m being basic indicators is established by employing the M /M /c/ ?/ ? multiple service desks and the unlimited queuing model. This model can reflect the actual impact of the indicators on the maintenance support more precisely.Example analysis is implemented by establishing constraints and choosing the most appropriate models.Finally, different types of aircraft spare parts are divided into four categories according to their different failure rates. For the repairable spare parts with exponentially distributed failure rate, the M /M /C /m +N /m queuing model with multiple service stations andavailable spare parts is established. The model is solved and the indicators' distribution function are calculated, such as the model's queue length and waiting time by using the Poisson distribution validate the reasonableness of the program.The research for equipment support has provided a new theory method for civil aviation,and a reference for military equipment. The paper firstly realizes the MLDT to different fields,provides the basis of the support plan for the service Support departments.
