Study On The Regional Expressway Monitoring And Data Management System

The highway is an important infrastructure for national economy and social progress. With the continuous development of society and economy the higher requirements on highway operation and service level has been imposed by the growing number of motor vehicles and logistics. In order to prevent traffic congestion and secondary congestion on highway, there are demands for flat lanes, timely release of information on traffic events and traffic routing. The advanced information technology is the means to update the conception of traffic development, change the mode of traffic development, make innovations in traffic management and improve the level of traffic service. Highway monitoring system is an essential part of information construction, including information acquisition, data integration, monitoring system development and data management analysis. The paper sets out to the study of regional highway monitoring and data management system, and makes future study on the system demand, overall design and demonstrative application. The main research work and achievements are as follows:1. According to the function need and data feature of highway monitoring system, further study towards structure and data types of monitoring system is made, and analysis is carried out of the data transmission mode and management methods, in order to lay a solid foundation for the design of regional highway monitoring and data management system subsequent.2. Based on the analysis of highway monitoring and data management system, the overall framework of regional highway monitoring system and data management system are put forward respectively.The selection and layout of out-field equipment, data transmission and storage, information release system of monitoring system are given detailed design and statement, so as to satisfy integrity and practicability of the system.3. Taking Chengde section of the Cheng-Chao highway as studying object, regional highway monitoring system and data management system are designed and achieved into prototype system, and its function and performance are tested and field demonstration for application. The results of test and application indicate that the construction of highway informatization can be satisfied by the highway monitoring and data management, and it also plays an important role in promoting the highway comprehensive management level.
