With the rapid development of China's civil aviation industry, air materiel plays a more important role in the flight support. How to operate the air materiel inventory system scientific with minimal capital investment to guarantee the safety and efficient operation of flight, it is a serious problem. Based on this, the subject aim at optimization of the air materiel inventory system has practical significance. This paper described the status quo of air materiel inventory management of China's airline, analyzed of the main problems of the air materiel inventory management, and explained the focus and purpose. Based on study and summarization of the existing literature on the air materiel spare parts inventory system, the factors that affect air materiel inventory system were analyzed, the system dynamics model of the inventory system was built and realized by Vensim. The results show: maintenance level of spare parts, inventory adjustment time are the key factors that affect inventory system and delivery delay has little effect on the inventory system.Spare parts maintenance level was improved from the part of the maintenance resources.First, spare parts maintenance time resources were optimized by optimizing maintenance plan and determining a reasonable maintenance cycle. Efficiency of maintenance and availability of spare parts was improved. Maintenance costs was reduced. Second, maintenance equipment resources were optimized by establishing multi-service window waiting for the system queuing model M/M/c with application of queuing theory. The number of maintenance equipment was optimized to make the sum of maintenance costs(including the cost of maintenance personnel and maintenance equipment) and losses of spare parts waiting for maintenance in line least.
