Aluminum foil, as a kind of superior metal packaging material, has been widely used in China and abroad. Aluminum foil roll cartoning machine is a packaging equipment of aluminum foil roll, and its stability and efficiency will greatly affect the entire production process. Therefore, not only the performance of the whole machine can be improved while the aluminum foil cartoning machine has been reasonable designed and optimized, but also the whole process of production will be promoted at the same time. Based on the theoretical analysis and simulation experiments, the paper studies the optimization of the working characteristics of aluminum foil cartoning machine, and the main research results are as follows:In order to ensure that the cartoning machine can meet the requirements of the various specifications paper box, the cartoning process and the power arrangement type are analyzed in the paper. At last the digital modeling of a horizontal multi station aluminum foil roll cartoning machine is established after designing the power transmission line. Meanwhile, the reasons of affecting the stability of the whole machine are also discussed in this paper.In order to improve the aluminum foil cartoning machine sealing quality, the cam curve of the sealing mechanism is optimized. The influence of return spring stiffness, preload, and rotational speed on the sealing process is analyzed by using Adams. Finally, the sealing mechanism is optimized according to the simulation results, and the optimization results are used in the actual production, and the defective rate reduced during the working process.Chain drive is an important driving mechanism in the aluminum foil cartoning machine. In order to analyze the real-time effect of polygon effect in chain drive, a real-time kinematic mathematical model is established. Meanwhile, the influence of various parameters on the chain drive and the movement posture of chain are also analyzed. Finally, the theoretical motion state of chain transmission is obtained.In order to alleviate the sloshing during the conveying process of aluminum foil rolls, the analysis of the force and the motion of the conveying mechanism of the aluminum foil roll cartoning machine is carried out firstly. The transmission process is optimized by using the multi-objective optimization algorithm based on genetic algorithm. The dynamic simulation experiment was carried out with Adams, the experiment results prove that the optimization scheme can reduce the force generated in the conveying process. Lastly, the optimization of the conveying process is realized based on the optimized scheme.
