With rapid development of Chinese civil aviation, the number of industry-wide transport turnover had reached 66 billion tons km and the number of transported passenger had exceeded 350 million person-time. Our country has become a veritable big civil aviation country. However, the development of the civil aviation maintenance is relatively slow, and the scheme design of the beyond-manual maintenance still relay on the OEM. It is not only extend the time of repairing, but also brings to the airlines and MRO economic loss and other negative effects. This has become one of the important factors to restrict our country from a big civil aviation to a superpower.In this paper, taking an example of Ameco, the scheme design and approval process of beyond-manual maintenance is analyzed. The contradiction between the approval process and the specific requirements of civil aviations is found. For improving the effective of maintenance, Boeing is suggested to offer the maintenance scheme and qualification form to the qualified and practiced MRO at the same time. And the domestic MRO is suggested to improve the capabilities of evaluation and design by analyzing the maintenance scheme reversely.In the example of the damage of Boeing 747 cabin floor beam at the STA180, RBL10,analyzing the number and distribution of rivets and the features of the doubler by strength calculating. Afterwards the repair procedures are proposed, including how to choose the surface coating and sealants. According to the example of beam web, the software of scheme designing is developed, which is helpful to improve the maintenance effeciency and the degree of digitization.Considering the differences of the damage condition of the web, different web openings are modeled. The stress nephograms and deformation nephograms are acquired by ABAQUS.Through the comparative analysis, the most appropriate openings are found out. In the case of both sides can be reached, the bilateral strengthen repair is proposed based on the traditional unilateral strengthen repair. The results of the ABAQUS analysis show that the bilateral strengthen repair scheme can reduce the stress concentration and web deformation.
