| Nowadays, with the experiencing rapid economic growth, the city is more and more crowded, but there are some "abandoned" buildings in the crowed cities. It not only wastes a large amount of land resources and capital, but also damage the city’s image. Therefore, how to deal with "abandoned" buildings had become a common problems to many cities.Demolition and reconstruction can clear away the "abandoned", and to reuse of land resources, but the demolition will bring a lot of construction waste, and causes the waste of resources. If maintenanced and reinforced the "abandoned" buildings, it can make the "abandoned" buildings resurrected, and can also solve the social problems which caused by "abandoned" buildings in a short time, which has great economic and social benefits. So these are so many problems that worth further study,like how to evaluate the mechanical performance and seismic performance of the "abandoned" buildings, how to strengthening the "abandoned" buildings in a better way, how to ensure that the "abandoned" buildings after reinforcement has enough safety reliability.With the modification and strengthening of the existing buildings is gradually become a hot topic of construction trades. This paper introduced the research status at home and abroad of the structural investigation and strengthening techniques, and then analyzed the existing reinforcement techniques and its technical measures, and aiming at the existing advantages and disadvantages of the strengthening techniques and its shortcomings are discussed in details. At last, take the strengthening project of the Xiamen Lean Huayuan as an example, introduced the whole process of the reinforcement project, the work has a certain instruction value for the "abandoned" buildings reinforcement and reconstruction. |
