With the rapid development of the aviation, a variety of key technologies for aircraft assembly are also more and more applied to production. Among them, the automatic drilling and riveting control technology is developing rapidly, and gradually replace the manual drilling and riveting, improve the efficiency of aircraft parts assembly.Similarly, as an important part of the whole assembly, the assembly of large part of the fuselage also need to seek a modern automated drilling and riveting processing technology,This paper is mainly about CNC machine for large parts of the fuselage assembly drilling and riveting, and carrying out research and design of the control system. The main text follows:(1) An overall design of automatic drilling and riveting control system for large parts of the fuselage assembly was put forward. The complex machine tool system components, including each module and the whole machine work flow was analyzed from the hardware level and software level.And proposed implementation plan based on the hardware configuration of HNC-8 system and the PC-based multi- software co- integrated control software.(2) The modular design of the composite machine was carried out. The composite machine was divided into the machine body, the end effector and the flexible tooling in accordance with the functional requirements. Finally the machine with CNC control program, the end effector with PLC system and the flexible tooling with multi-channel control program were completed.(3) Biaxial synchronous drive technology of the complex CNC machine was carried out. The importance of the machine Y-axis dual-motor synchronous drive was analyzed, and a cross-coupled control strategy was adopted based on the original numerical control system. Compensation unit controller was designed with PID controler, the simulation model was simulated under the simulink environment and the results were compared to conclud that it can improve the reliability of the biaxial drive synchronized motion and machine.(4) Upper layer integrated control system software for automatic drilling and riveting was designed.From the demand of software for the entry point,a detailed analysis of the integrated PC control software to customer needs and solutions for every need was put forward. Integrated control PC software interface design and the underlying function code design was completed.
