In the southern rainy area, the highway is prone to rutting and water damage, which seriously affect the service life of the road. In order to make the expressway with asphalt pavement has excellent high temperature stability and water stability performance, to ensure that the vehicle can safely and quickly run, to extend the road service life, we should take effective measures to improve the rheological performance and durability of asphalt mixture, and improve the high temperature resistance of asphalt mixture.Sulfur is major production of powder, which is one of China's four great inventions. With the rapid development of petroleum industry, a large amount of sulfur accumulation has brought great challenges for environmental protection. How to effectively use sulfur has become an urgent problem to be solved. In this paper, sulfur as a warm mix modifier, not only for the treatment of sulfur to find a new way, but also for road asphalt found a substitute.This paper systematically studies the sulfur application technology of warm mix asphalt mixture. Based on the real engineering, the test section is paved. This paper focus on the sulfur warm mix asphalt mixture in the mixing, paving and compaction temperature variation in the process of cooling and influencing factors. Based on the principle of steady state heat conduction of asphalt, the author deduces formula of asphalt mixture thermal conductivity coefficient. Based on grey correlation theory, the author analyzes the relationship between primary and secondary effects of sulfur modified asphalt mixture. The author studies the technical specifications of raw materials, mix design and construction technology from the practical point of view.The results show that the sulfur modified asphalt mixture has high temperature stability and water stability and better performance. The discharge temperature of sulfur warm mix is at least 25? lower than hot mixture asphalt. The pavement paved sulfur modified asphalt mixture may replace part of asphalt reduces production cost and have obvious economic benefit.
