Three-dimension design has been extensively used in construction machinery design with the development of technology. However, as an important part of construction machinery, electrical system design still uses two-dimension design approach. In this kind of approach, schematics, wiring harness and assembly are designed separately with no data transferring between one another. At the same time, electrical system design has to wait for structure design completion to start. Besides, design using two-dimension approach can't exactly calculate key dimension of wiring harness such as branch point, branch length etc. for that wiring harness has to be routed in the inter-space between the others components. These factors cause that wiring harness must modified for several times to fit for use which delays the date of product launch and goes against enterprise seizing the market chances.In order to solve the problems in construction machinery's electrical system design, this thesis comes up with a complete three-dimension design approach which can be used in construction machinery's electrical system design after amount of survey of three-dimension electrical design of several kinds of products. This approach chooses four software which include EPLAN Electric P8, EPLAN Harness ProD, and Creo and comprehensively uses their respective functions and speciality to build a set of design procedures running through schematics, wiring harness and assembly.Before design work, designer must firstly build library for every software involved for being invoked by follow-up work.Based on the tasks of stages of 3D Design, this thesis makes sure that data can be transferred between stages. Especially, an export template is developed to help transfer data from schematics to 3D routing. Successful data transferring ensure the consistency and continuity of data.According to 3D electrical system design flow, this thesis develops synchronization modification flow. This flow synchronizes the design of electrical system and others.Focus on accuracy of wiring harness dimension and manufacturing information, this thesis researches how to guarantee the accuracy of harness design. Among it, report templates of wire form and material form are developed to ensure the accuracy of wiring harness manufacturing information.In the end, taking bulldozer as an example, this thesis completely develops the electrical system by the 3D design approach developed. This design work completes the design data of engine electrical system, dash electrical system and floor frame electrical system. At the same time, consistent data using, synchronized design and wiring harness accuracy are proved during the design work.From the above, this thesis develops a complete three-dimension design approach for Construction Machinery electrical system. This approach overcomes the defects of 2D electrical design and can be applied easily. It greatly helps the enterprises to shorten time of electrical system design and make sure the products be launched to the market as soon as possible...
