| Most of the CAPP system development platforms at present are still based on two-dimensional CAD software, which has a great limitation in information transformation. In comparison, 3D solid feature can describe the manufacturing information of components more directly and particularly, which makes the information integration of CAD and CAPP possible. The paper carried on a research based on 3D CAD software of the guided design of shaft parts, the automatic decision on process route and their integration.This project chose Creo as a development platform, with VS2010 as its Programming environment and took shaft parts' CAD/CAPP information integration and sharing as purpose. There were three main points: Automatic design based on shaft section unit in CAD module; Method of information transmission between CAD and CAPP module; The decision on process and automatic generation of process files technology in CAPP module. Which includes:(1) Guided, modular design of shaft parts. On the one hand, modular design based on shaft section unit greatly improves the design efficiency of shaft parts. On the other hand, wizard interface based on MFC technology enhances the interaction between the system and the user.(2) Information description method based on features overcomes the difficulties of data sharing, low integration and low description level of the existing integration system.(3) Process decision of shaft parts based on features relies on the database, encapsulate and save the process data and knowledge into the relational database, which separated decision-making program and process data, making process information sharing easier.The interactive interface of the integrated system is simple and friendly, the design process is intuitive and easy to understand, the operation is stable and easy to manage and maintain. Instance running includes the automatic generation of 3D model and automatic route planning, which can fully meets the design requirements. |
