Information technology has been widely applied to vehicle manufacturing industry with its development in recent year s. Informatization and sy stematization of manufacturing companies has becom e an inevitable industr ial trend. However, Mini-car manufacturing companies is characterized as having com plex manufacturing processes, various product models, small b atch, multiple production lin es matching requirements and m ixed flow co-production of multiple clas sifications of products, w hich requires higher level of management skills of production planning m anagement. Another fact is that market orders only account for a small percentage of the monthly producing plan, a large percentage of the planned production depends on the prediction of the market demands. Production planning management system used by traditional m ini-car manufacturing companies is relatively simple. The productive process is achieved by enlarging component inventory and by m ass production. As the de velopment of the econom y takes place, prob lems such as lar ge occupation of funds and low flexibility are becoming more and more prominent.Concept of systematic management has been widely used and popularized. ERP system(Enterprise Resource Planning) and MES(M anufacturing Execution S ystem) are widely used for autom obile industry. Monthly pr oduction plan is m ainly made through ERP information system, which also contains other relative operational m odules such as procurement, quality control, finance and sales etc. Daily production sequence is delivered to corresponding workshops through MES system, guiding the actual production sequence and collecting actual production executive conditions. ERP system generates linked plan data of production plan and delivers it to MES system to generate production sequence plan. MES system collects live data and report to ERP system to pe rform data analyzing, finance management, quality control management and other relative operations. Thus it is necessary that a m ini-car manufacturing company esta blishes a production planning m anagement system which suits its elf and constantly im proves the sy stem according to the actual managing status to make the system more adaptable to the company's needs of development. And what we talked above can best express the main purpose of this thesis.The main research methods and content of this thesis:1. By introducing two production or ganization modes of the com pany, we develop a general understanding of the com pany's production management characteristics from the perspective of plan m anagement and plan im plementation process control and conduct an in-depth analysis of the defect of plan management and material management of the original plan management system.2. Combined with the company's carrying out ERP and MES, we summ arize management demands, put forward design requirements of the system, define design system principle and build the overall function modular structure.3. By analyzing system operation flow, build up operation diagram for each function module of the system and put forward solutions of the critical tasks encountered when collating information of operation diagram. Meanwhile, make a detailed introduction of the function of each m odule and operation flow and make explanation of the integration relationship between production plan management and other systems.4. By successfully implementing the system, make a detailed production of the system's main function application, in combination of the company's actual production status and aiming at s olving the problem s occurred duri ng the im plementation of the system, put forward optimization solutions to improve the system function constantly.In this thesis, we study the production plan ning management system of a m ini-car manufacturing company under the theoretical f oundation of advanced theories of E RP and MES system, construct suitable information system for the company, thus effectively solving the existing issues in the com pany's production planning management. The implementation of the system in the company has improved th e accuracy and guidanc e of the pro duction planning, also improved flexibility level of production and the degree of systematization, optimized the m anagement, reduced the produc tion cost and provided the com pany with powerful support for the subsequent development of the company.
